Sock sucker

Alright alright alright. Yours truly is officially back. Back after a very interesting, crazy, and very fast week. Anyways let's get into it shall we.

I have officially been transferred out of my old area, Vichayal, and have been sent to a new area called Villa Talara. It's another beach town, like my first area. Definitely nicer, and overall just a super cool place. I've come from a family group, to a branch here. So now I've been in a new ward, and old ward, a family group, and a branch. Pretty much everything! Well guys I guess I'm done with my mission. Finally. I've learned a ton though I encourage you all to serve as well! Just kidding I'm not even close to learning what I need to learn. Anyways in my new branch there's a chapel with a computer so I'll finally be able to send an email out. You're welcome guys, don't mention it.

Last Monday night we had to pack and gather everything, cause Tuesday morning we had to head out and meet up to find our new companions and everything. Butttt, I got food poisoning that day, and threw up twice. But there's a problem guys. I don't think I ever told you all but there's no bathrooms in Vichayal, my old area. They simply don't exist. Everybody just goes in the woods and that's how life is. Long story short, I had to throw up in a field by a random tree. It was, needless to say, an awful experience. But hey, that's just another bucket list item checked off from Vichayal, right next to baptizing a pregnant woman.

We also had Branch Conference yesterday and our Mission President and his wife came which was cool. It was fun to see them and they both gave great talks. They are awesome and it's been really fun with them so far. We were the only three white people in the whole building which was sick. I felt like a celebrity, even more than I already am. Kidding but I do get an extreme amount of looks on a daily basis. It's super normal now though. I'm probably gonna get depressed when I get home cause no one's gonna pay attention to me. I'm counting on my nieces and nephews to save me.

My new comp is a dawg. He's from New York but grew up a little bit in Peru so he's a literal native and gringo at the same time. Everyone looks at him and talks to him like a normal latino but then to me he's just like another white companion. So he's basically just a goated comp. He just read this and called me a chupa media, which in english means suck up but technically translates to sock sucker, which is funny to me. But it's been sick so far and I'm excited for the rest of this transfer.

Something I've been reading recently is the book 'Saints'. It's super interesting and cool, and there are a ton of stories that I had never heard of. Plus it's a book from the church so I'm increasing my gospel knowledge and learning how to be a better missionary at the same time. So all in all it's been a good read. You guys should read it too when you get the chance.

Well anyways guys that's about it for this week. Crazy but chill at the same time. Hope you all have a good day and a great week. Until then.
