Goodbye Peru
Morning everyone. Well this is it. I have officially finished my mission and will arrive home tomorrow.
I feel an immense amount of gratitude for the past two years and the experiences I've had. I'm so thankful for the Lord and the trust He's put in me to see all the miracles I've seen. I truly have loved my mission so much. It has been an incredible opportunity to grow and learn and a time in my life that I will never ever forget.
I wanted to share two takeaways from my mission. Two simple yet very important things I've learned in the last two years.
#1: As it says in the scriptures: "Inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall prosper in the land." This is quoted in the Book of Mormon countless times and it has so much truth. There is so much power in keeping the commandments and doing the Lord's will. I can truly say that I have prospered in my life and on my mission, and am so grateful for family, friends, companions, mission presidents, etc. that have helped me do so.
#2: A happy/successful life is a Christ centered life. I've come to know the truth of the often quoted phrase "put the Lord first and all other things will fall into place." It is 100% true. Those who strive to be more like Jesus Christ simply have a better life, and feel more fulfilled. Developing christlike attributes is a life long process that I have just begun to do. I have already felt the blessings of it and know that more will come by doing so.
I also wanted to thank you all for all the love and support you've given me throughout these two years. It's meant a lot to me. I'm eternally grateful for supportive family and good friends that have helped me up to this point and during it. I love you guys thank, you.
That's all for today guys. Have a good one and see you all soon.
