Part 2

Hello my friends and family. It's been a minute. I haven't sent an email since last year. 


HA sike I'm not doing that again, but I hope you enjoyed it. Isn't that crazy though that it's been a year since I sent that email?

Anyways, I'm back, and I hope you are all doing well. I am doing great, it's been a very eventful couple of weeks. 

First things first. I have been transferred once again. This time to a new area called Miraflores 2. A recently opened area, after a long time of belonging to the office Elders. So, no offense to my friends in the office, it hadn't been touched for a while. Which is cool because it means we have a ton of potential, but also means there's not much to work with yet. But that's alright because we're starting things up little by little. 

I'm also training again, which is super exciting, plus I didn't get scammed this time like the last time, so that's a win. My new comp's cool. His name's Elder Arter, he's already got like 4 months in the mission so he already knows a decent amount of stuff. His name's also Ethan so that's crazy. But it's been good so far and it'll definitely be a more low key training due to his existing knowledge. 

Our new house is pretty nice. It has hot water, my first place with hot water in my entire mission. So that's sick. We also just got toasters in every house in the mission so that's also incredible. I'm living nice these days guys. It's super hot here though so hopefully it cools down soon cause I've been sweating like a mad man these past few days. It's alright I'll just enjoy the cold more when I get home. 

My last transfer ended well. Solid area, solid companion, solid everything. Sad to say goodbye to everything but excited for this change and ready to see what it will bring. I've been really enjoying the mission these past few months, and I feel like it gets better every day. Loving it out here and weird to see it go by so quickly. I've still got lots of time left, but not too much so I'm trying to soak it all in. 

With the new year and all that, I've been thinking a lot about this last year and all that's happened. One of my friends reminded me that last year was the only full year I'll ever have as a full time missionary. So, sad to see it go, but awesome to reflect on the countless experiences I've had and all the people I've been able to meet and get close with. This gospel is true guys and I've really been able to find so much joy and gratitude through it.

What's up everyone? What the heck is going on? I apologize to you all for much lack of actual good email. It's very hard to write a good one in my area haha I don't have much time and we only have one phone as a companionship. But anyways I wanted to give you guys an update on how things have been. This week we had our last interviews with our President. He's leaving in like 2 weeks and we're getting a new gringo one. It's definitely exciting but also very sad. Skeeters

Hello everyone what in the world is up. I hope it's been a wonderful week for all of you. I have had a good week here in the pines (Los Pinos is my area). This week we had a baptism! It was for a girl named Jenny and it was awesome! I got to baptize her which was cool. The font was only halfway full due to lack of water recently, but luckily it was enough. I had to really lower her hahah but it worked. It was a great experience especially since it's been our only one this transfer, and my companion's first one in the mission. We also did it yesterday after church so there were a lot of people there thankfully. This week we got absolutely eaten alive by mosquitos which was awful. I just refuse to put repellent on. I don't know if it's cause of the stickiness or cause every time I smell it I think of the morning of a campout, which might be one of the worst feelings in the world. The ruins

What is up guys. How we doing this fine Monday morning? I hope all is well. I for one, am doing great. It was a fast and good week. Not a ton happened this week. But one cool thing we did find while going to a lesson in this random obscure place, were Las Ruinas. Translation: The Ruins. Need I say more? Or does the title pretty much sum it up? I'll do it anyway. It was basically just these super old structures surrounded by a really old church. It takes a close second to Machu Picchu. Kidding but it was pretty cool. Unfortunately we couldn't go check out more because it cost money and is also closed on P-days. It was cool though. We set up a mini-golf course in our apartment one night, and it was sick. I was going for an eagle putt on one of the rounds but choked under pressure, and had to settle for a birdie. Not bad, huh?
