My pig has died

What's upppp everyone. It's been a while, that is my bad. Hope you've all been well. It'll be a quick one today but wanted to give you all an update.

We had transfers 2 weeks ago and I got a new companion, but am staying in the same area. My last comp went home, I killed him off. New comp's great. Hard worker and a great teacher.

Not a ton to write here but I'll give you guys a small list of things that have happened recently:

-Some lady in our ward told us that cat hair is dangerous cause it can get into your nose and eventually into your brain. Not sure how true that is but I trust her I think.

-After having lessons with friends and members there is usually a "punishment" for the people that lose. Almost every time, the punishment is to walk outside and yell "my pig has died!" They think it's the funniest and craziest thing, and always are flabbergasted after people do it. It's the most random little thing but they take it all so seriously, it's very funny. Or maybe it's just me?

-Our recent convert passed the sacrament on Sunday. It was super cool to see him do it and he was super excited.

-The gun laws here are very strange. A policeman cannot fire his gun unless the person they are aiming at fires first. I don't know about you guys but that just makes absolutely no sense to me.

Anyways that's about all for this week. But I guess I'll end with a little spiritual thought. Nothing crazy. But I love the scriptures. You guys should read them cause they will help you a ton. They have for me. I also always feel good after reading them. Even just a little a day will help.

What's up everyone? What the heck is going on? I apologize to you all for much lack of actual good email. This week we had our last interviews with our President. He's leaving in like 2 weeks and we're getting a new gringo one. It's definitely exciting but also very sad. The ruins

What is up guys. How we doing this fine Monday morning? I hope all is well. I for one, am doing great. It was a fast and good week. Not a ton happened this week. But one cool thing we did find while going to a lesson in this random obscure place, were Las Ruinas. Translation: The Ruins. Need I say more? Or does the title pretty much sum it up? I'll do it anyway. It was basically just these super old structures surrounded by a really old church. It takes a close second to Machu Picchu. Kidding but it was pretty cool. Unfortunately we couldn't go check out more because it cost money and is also closed on P-days. It was cool though. We set up a mini-golf course in our apartment one night, and it was sick. I was going for an eagle putt on one of the rounds but choked under pressure, and had to settle for a birdie. Not bad, huh? Hello everyone what in the world is up. I hope it's been a wonderful week for all of you. I have had a good week here in the pines (Los Pinos is my area). This week we had a baptism! It was for a girl named Jenny and it was awesome! I got to baptize her which was cool. The font was only halfway full due to lack of water recently, but luckily it was enough. I had to really lower her hahah but it worked. It was a great experience especially since it's been our only one this transfer, and my companion's first one in the mission. We also did it yesterday after church so there were a lot of people there thankfully. This week we got absolutely eaten alive by mosquitos which was awful. I just refuse to put repellent on. I don't know if it's cause of the stickiness or cause every time I smell it I think of the morning of a campout, which might be one of the worst feelings in the world.
