Brandon the dog

I am horribly sorry everyone. It's been too long since I sent an email. But I'm back for all you who were suffering without my words. Kidding but it's good to be back.

My area Sullana, is cool. It's extremely hot here, and only getting hotter. It's been tough to find people and get success. But little by little we've been improving. Pretty soon we'll have a baptism or two which will be sweet. The companion is awesome. He's got two weeks left in his whole mission which is crazy. Not sure what to feel about it haha.

We had our multi-zone conference with President and it was very enjoyable. Great message and experience. After we did exchanges and I went with the man himself Elder Harris. The guy from the MTC if any of you remember. The hacky sack guy. It was a much awaited intercambio, and turned out to be great. It was fun to reunite after so long and go out and work together. We didn't whip out the sack unfortunately but that'll be for a different time.

We also met a dog named Brandon, which was hilarious. It's always funny to me when people give their dogs human names. Imagine a dog named Garrett. Or what about Nathan? Comment down below with more human names for dogs. Jason would be another good one.

Life has been pretty good recently. Been doing well out here in the slums. I've been reading a lot in the scriptures the phrase; If ye keep my commandments, ye will prosper in the land. I think it's very true. If we follow the Lord and do what he says, we will be alright. Everything will turn out just fine. There's my invitation to you guys. Or am I the only one that wants to prosper in the land? Didn't think so.

What's up everyone? What the heck is going on? I apologize to you all for much lack of actual good email. It's very hard to write a good one in my area haha I don't have much time and we only have one phone as a companionship. But anyways I wanted to give you guys an update on how things have been. This week we had our last interviews with our President. He's leaving in like 2 weeks and we're getting a new gringo one. It's definitely exciting but also very sad. The ruins

What is up guys. How we doing this fine Monday morning? I hope all is well. I for one, am doing great. It was a fast and good week. Not a ton happened this week. But one cool thing we did find while going to a lesson in this random obscure place, were Las Ruinas. Translation: The Ruins. Need I say more? Or does the title pretty much sum it up? I'll do it anyway. It was basically just these super old structures surrounded by a really old church. It takes a close second to Machu Picchu. Kidding but it was pretty cool. Unfortunately we couldn't go check out more because it cost money and is also closed on P-days. It was cool though. We set up a mini-golf course in our apartment one night, and it was sick. I was going for an eagle putt on one of the rounds but choked under pressure, and had to settle for a birdie. Not bad, huh? Hello everyone what in the world is up. I hope it's been a wonderful week for all of you. I have had a good week here in the pines (Los Pinos is my area). This week we had a baptism! It was for a girl named Jenny and it was awesome! I got to baptize her which was cool. The font was only halfway full due to lack of water recently, but luckily it was enough. I had to really lower her hahah but it worked. It was a great experience especially since it's been our only one this transfer, and my companion's first one in the mission. We also did it yesterday after church so there were a lot of people there thankfully. This week we got absolutely eaten alive by mosquitos which was awful. I just refuse to put repellent on. I don't know if it's cause of the stickiness or cause every time I smell it I think of the morning of a campout, which might be one of the worst feelings in the world.
