Eggdog
What's up everyone. Holy cow it's been a crazy past two weeks. Sorry for not sending an email last week, our P-day was moved and I had like no time at all. But anyways, let's get into it shall we.
Last Monday was my birthday, which was pretty fun. We played some soccer in the morning, and then ate some cake at a member's house later that night.. It was pretty fuego. It was definitely a weird birthday, just because I had barely thought about it at all, and I was just in Peru being a missionary. But it was still a solid birthday that I'm thankful for. Thank you to everyone that sent me a message, I'm sorry if I don't respond to all of you, but know that I really appreciated it. For those of you who didn't write me, I will be removing you from my email list, but it was nice knowing you.
Last week on Wednesday, we had the Christmas party thing for the mission, which was awesome. We were all at the mission home until like midnight just chilling and talking. It was super fun. When we finally got home and got in bed it was like 1:45, and then we woke up at 6 the next morning for a Zone conference. It was brutal, but we got through it, barely. I then got absolutely obliterated in the face by three slices of cake because it was my birthday two days before. Classic mission tradition.
Yesterday we had a lesson with some of our investigators, which was super good. At the end of the lesson, we were praying, and I started hearing this weird crunching noise coming from the ground. So I opened my eyes for a sec (I swear I close my eyes guys), and saw this random dog just munching on an egg shell. Not sure why but it was so funny. The dog was just living it's best life. I mean what's better than an old egg shell discovered in the trash, on Christmas eve night. Comment down below if you have an answer to that.
Also yesterday, we were visiting a bunch of members and singing some Christmas Carols. At one of the houses, we finished singing, and I accidentally said Happy Birthday instead of Merry Christmas. Then everybody started laughing at me and making fun of me and I got embarrassed. But don't worry about me. I'm doing fine, just fine. Some might say too fine. I don't even know what I'm writing at this point.
This morning we went to the beach, which was pretty dope. When we got there, we passed by this guy and said hi, nothing to it. Then like 5 seconds later we looked back and he had just taken off all his clothes and was going into the ocean to bathe. Twas quite the sight. Then like an hour later we saw this dog getting absolutely abused by this 14 year old kid. The kid would grab the dog, and chuck it into the ocean. Then the dog would try to run away, and the kid would tackle it and repeat the cycle. It was crazy to watch. Tackle. Throw. Try to escape. Repeat. Reminds me of my old routine before the mission. Eat. Sleep. Minecraft. Repeat.
Welp that should be about it for today guys, hope you all have a Merry Christmas. Thanks again for all the emails and messages. Love you all!
