Hello everyone! I'm back from another quick week. I only have 6 more days here at the MTC which is crazy. I'm so excited to get to Peru and realize I know nothing.  On Tuesday we had a devotional with Elder Marcus B. Nash of the Seventy. He gave such a great talk about our purpose as missionaries. He talked a lot about how we GET to be missionaries and we don't HAVE to be missionaries. We need to treasure this time when we focus everything on the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful for this opportunity I have to be a missionary and I can't wait to get into the field and start teaching people. On Tuesday night some kid pulled the fire alarm in my building. We don't know who it was but he got sent home. Just kidding. But we had to stand outside our building for like 30 minutes until someone came and turned it off. Eventually a push up circle started where some kid goes in the circle and does as many push ups as they can while everyone else cheers. Elder Caball...

What's up everyone! Sorry I was a bit late on this email, I had a super busy P-day. It's been another super quick, but great week.  We got to hear from another member of the Seventy which was awesome. It was Elder Brent K. Nattress. He gave a great talk about giving it all on our missions. Something that really stuck out to me was the scripture Mark 5:36. It says, "Be not afraid, only believe." I know I'm going to have challenges these next two years but I also know that if I have faith, I can get through them.  After the devotional we had a district meeting to review it and it was one of the best meetings I've been to here at the MTC. There were some super powerful testimonies born and the spirit in that room was so strong. I love my district and I'm so thankful for all their testimonies. Some kid in my building tried to ride a wheelchair down the stairs and almost died. My roommate Elder Harris and I have been doing a lot of hacky sack at night. If you r...

What is up guys? It's been a great week. So much stuff happening here at the MTC. The days feel pretty long but the weeks have been going by surprisingly fast. Sunday was fast Sunday, which was surprisingly not as hard as I thought it would be, since it was a super long day. That was definitely a blessing. We had a little devotional, and I started to get super tired so I closed my eyes and literally 30 seconds later I jolted awake and accidentally kicked the chair in front of me. It was super loud and I think everyone heard it. I don't care though because it was the best nap I've ever taken. I wasn't tired for the rest of the day. On Tuesday I found out that I got my VISA for Peru! I'm super glad because basically every Elder I talked to told me I had no chance with Peru. I'm supposed to leave on September 29, so it's coming up. We had an awesome devotional that night and the speaker was Elder Gary Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Before he wa...

What's up guys! I'm back.   Monday morning was super busy.  We had a lot to do. We had Spanish class, breakfast, a service project, and a workshop all back to back. Very chaotic but an awesome and super productive day.  On Tuesday night we had a devotional and got to hear from Elder Godoy of the Seventy! His talk was amazing and the spirit was so strong in that room. He shared with us his conversion story and gave us principles that we can use when teaching the people in our missions. Also during the devotional, my district had the opportunity to sing in the choir, it was such a great experience. We sang the Army of Helaman and I felt the spirit so strong. On the last verse we changed the words from "we will be the Lord's missionaries" to "we are now the Lord's missionaries."  It was so cool to know that I am now a missionary, and I'm so thankful that I get to be a part of this important work. On Wednesday I hit a week of being at the MTC which i...
